triangles are back

Happy Wednesday!!

I just wanted to stop by and show you a picture of my newest wip.

I know, I said I was done trying to tackle those triangles. I talked about my defeat in this post and I thought that was it. But, I just could not help myself. I had to give these colorful beauties one more try. I cut them larger this time - double the size of the original ones and it seems to work!!!

I'll be back soon to show you more of my triangle progress, Svetlana.

  1. i just finished a triangle quilt top. what is it about those triangles that makes them so tedious?! the one i did is about a twin size, and felt like it took forever. but now that it's done, i kind of want to make another...

  2. I have a friend that works in triangles, her tip: instead of sewing in rows, make bigger triangles...

  3. I am glad you didn't accept defeat! It will be a wonderful quilt when you are done. Love all the "groupings" that visually emerge as you place the triangles together. I see something different each time I look at it!

  8. they really do look great. :) I find marking the opposite side, where they join, so I know exactly where to sew sometimes helps when I join my triangles together... I just put a little pencil dot to keep me on target.
