Hello, happy Tuesday to you all.
This pencil pouch (free pattern by Gwenny Penny) was on my to do list for ages. I've always thought it was just such a fun idea to make a pencil pouch that looked like a pencil.
My choice of text fabrics for the exterior was inspired by this totally amazing pouch I found on Pinterest. Super fun, isn't it?
And then I used this ledger fabric by Carolyn Friedlander for the lining, I think it's a perfect fit for this pouch. (by the way, I'm really excited about her new fabric line Doe and can't wait to get my hands on it)
The pouch itself came together rather quickly - there are no corners to box so this makes it a beginner friendly pouch and I would very highly recommend you give it a try. Plus, I think these pouches would make cute Christmas presents, too.
Speaking of Christmas, have you started any Christmas sewing yet? So far I've only made two small presents and knitted two pairs of socks. I'd better get moving :)
