weekend sewing

Happy Monday, everyone!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine was wonderful. Nothing much happened, just regular everyday family stuff, but I got to sew quite a lot and it felt wonderful.

I made some progress on my middle daughter's Pinkie Pie quilt. Those 1" finished squares are a pain to piece together, but I'm loving the way this quilt is turning out.

I even decided to piece all the white areas. I'm hoping to be a pro at precision piecing once I'm done with this giant of a quilt.

Also, I finally basted and started hand quilting my Swoon quilt. I'm quite enjoying it so far but I do have a loooong way to go.  What is it with me and all these time consuming projects I keep taking on?

And these are my pretty weeds/ flowers. They have nothing to do with sewing, I just find them so amazingly beautiful.

Wishing you all a very lovely Monday. Svetlana

  2. Love Pinkie Pie. I've been purposefully not letting my daughter see your posts on my feed because then she'll start asking for one. I don't think I have the patience for all those tiny squares.

  4. I think you are already quite the expert at precision piecing:). I am liking your swoon quilt a lot. The feather fabric seems much different than what I would have thought you would pick so I am intrigued to say the least!

  5. The quilt looks great. I think this is one of those quilts that is painful while you are making it, but soon you will forget that and just be happy to have it :)

  6. I'm just wondering do you iron those tiny seams with regular iron or you have one of those little ones made for patchwork? It looks great but I can't imagine how much work went into this. I would appreciate some tips once you done with it :-)
