In my last post, I was gushing over how focused I finally got, worked on my WIPs and was not starting any new projects. Guess how long that lasted? Not very long, I tell you.
I was planning on working on my granny square quilt yesterday, when I was struck by a sudden need to make needle books. Seriously!!! Had to make some or the world as I know it would end!!! You know that feeling, right? Out came the supplies (lots of them), since I had no precise idea what I was really doing. And, just so you can picture what I mean, let me show you what our dining / my sewing table looked like.
Even my children were horrified by this tangle of ribbons, fabric, felt, needles, scraps, and whatever else was there. I'm happy to say, though, that after a few hours I had some very cute needle books done.
I used colorful felt for the pages of the books,
this is what they look like inside.
I also made a ribbon loop on top and used bright colored buttons to keep needles and pins safely inside.
These little guys are heading to my Etsy store, if you're interested.
Have a wonderful evening, Svetlana.

ReplyDeleteYay, these look fab! Sometimes, you just have to go with what your heart desires, then it frees up making loads of other things :o) Which reminds me, I have a 241 tote rapidly rising to the top of my MAKE ME NOW pile ;o)

ReplyDeleteAh! Those are precious :-) I'm so inspired to make one! My needles are currently hanging out in a couple of clunky plastic bags. This is so much better.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love the felt for the pages.
ReplyDeleteThose are so beautiful and cute! It makes me think that I should make one, too, from the pink fabric that I used recently.
