bagmaker tuesday #1 (new linky party)

Hello lovelies, happy Tuesday to you all!

You've probably noticed I love sewing bags and pouches a lot. And I mean A LOT!!! In fact, they are my most favorite projects to work on, so I decided to start a linky party devoted completely to celebrating our in-progress as well as finished bags and pouches.

Here's what I have in mind. Every Tuesday I'm planning on showing a few photos and a description of a project I made as well as linking up to relevant patterns, tutorials, or supplies I used so you can check them out if interested. I'll also be doing some giveaways, but the part I'm most excited about is seeing all the projects you guys are working on (there will be a link in the bottom of each post so you can share your blog or Instagram photo with us all).

To start things off, I made myself a new Nina Wristlet.

I used this beautiful Maker Maker linen by Sarah Golden for the exterior of my pouch and I'm so happy with the way it turned out.

This was a fun pouch to make and while the addition of zippers and piping might make it a bit too challenging for a complete beginner, it's definitely not too difficult for someone who's made a few bags or pouches before.

What makes this pouch a perfect wallet for me is the addition of card slots in the lining (this is the large size pouch, the small size has four card slots).

I wasn't sure whether to make a wrist strap since the pouch will be mostly happily nestled in my purse, but I like the way it turned out and I'm quite sure the wristlet will see a lot of use in the next few months.

Now it's your turn. Have you made any pouch, purse, tote, or a bag lately? If so please click on the link below to share your blog or IG photo. I can't wait to see what you guys have been working on.

Wishing you all a happy and creative day. Svetlana
