Stars In Your Eyes

I've started working on a new quilt and I'm sooooo excited. It's definitely going to take me a while to get this beauty finished which is exactly what I was looking for. This is going to be my long-term project and I'll be working on some smaller and less intricate ones when I need a break.

I'm using a book by Sarah Fielke Quilting from little things... and the quilt I'm working on is called Stars in Your Eyes.
Doesn't it look gorgeous? Last night I managed to make 2 of my stars. Surprisingly, they are not as difficult to piece as they seemed at first, I suspect that the hardest part is going to be setting all the blocks into the whole quilt. I'll let you know when I get there.

I'm going scrappy and using lots of my very favorite fabrics. Here's my first star

and this is the second one

I love how they both turned out. Looking at them makes me want to sew more, so off I go.

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Svetlana

  14. I saw your WIP post and almost fainted...my daughter's birthday is 1/11 and I thought I somehow got it mixed up and forgot cupcakes today! But when I clicked through it was gone and I realized maybe you took it down because today is Tuesday. I really like the star on the bottom right with the gray. They look amazing!!!
