this and that

Hello, happy Thursday to you all.

It's been pretty slow and quiet in the sewing area lately as the kids and I are trying to find the right schedule and activities for the summer.

I did, however, manage to make these two patchwork chair pads. Now I just need to make three more and our kitchen chairs will no longer have to go all "naked". Plus, they are so much more comfy to sit on.

I also did a little bit more swooning. Six blocks down, three more to go.

And I got my little peeps to sew, too. It took a little persuading to get my son to understand that : "Look mom, no hands!" is very cool for bike riding, but not sewing :)

Wishing you all a very lovely day.  Svetlana

  1. I really like the fabrics you have chosen for your swoon quilt. I have the pattern but just lacking in time and courage to start that one up. Enjoying your blog too, lovely work!

  7. Your chair cushions and swoon blocks look great. They look really nice with your chairs. We are still using plastic Ikea chairs and terribly ugly chair cushions around here, but hopefully we will be moving soon and will be able to upgrade that situation!

  10. The chair pads are so charming! And you'll never regret having your little ones sew! My son sewed a bunch of 4 patches years ago... and last year I made more to "match" (sort of), enough to make a big quilt for him - and he loves it I'm sure in part because he helped make it. So don't discard any little thing your kids sew - you might use it someday!

  20. There were recent reports that iMessage spam now accounts soldes salomon chaussure for 30 per cent of all mobile spam messages, but others have questioned these figures. I'm more concerned about the fact that I received iMessage spam via an email address which is reserved for one of my chaussure salomon pas cher iTunes accounts and never used elsewhere. Spammers didn't find it by trawling the web or breaking into a third-party service where I've reused that email address. It's the internet equivalent of an unlisted number and I don't Salomon Speedcross 3 Pas Cher see how spammers discovered it unless they have access to large lists of Apple IDs.
