basting time

I have three quilt tops waiting to be basted and quilted. THREE!!! While it might not be that many by some people's standards, it's overwhelming for me. I like to finish most of my big projects before I start new ones, so this accumulation of quilt tops caught me totally by surprise.

I finished piecing my son's Pow Wow quilt top. As I've mentioned  before, I'm not particularly fond of piecing triangles, but I do love how they look once finished, so I persevered . I could not have been happier with how it turned out. Now if only I could decide on the backing and then the way to quilt this guy. Oh, well! one step at a time.

I have also finally turned these HST blocks into a quilt top.

I originally planned on making a large picnic quilt, but after thinking it through I realized there's just no way I'd enjoy making many, many more of these blocks. I decided to use the ones I had finished and turn them into a baby quilt. And, I even have the backing all ready, yay!

Last, but definitely not the least, is my Christmas quilt. I'm totally stumped on what to do for the backing as well as quilting. I'm thinking about doing some hand quilting, but have nothing specific in mind, yet. Any ideas?

So, these are my three quilt tops, in need of some love and attention. I'm really hoping to get at least one of them finished this week.

Thanks for stopping by. Wishing you all a wonderfully creative day. Svetlana
